This year I told myself I wanted to improve my skin care routine and that’s what I’ve been doing. I have combination skin so it’s dry during the winter around my cheek area. My forehead and the top of my nose are oily especially throughout the day. Also I cannot use heavy products because my skin is also sensitive!
First I cleanse my face using Biore Characoal Facial Cleanser usually in the shower or at night before bed. I just started using this cleanser and I love it because it has charcoal which draws out impurities in the skin. It’s best to wet your face and massage throughout the skin and after your skin will feel clean and tingly.
Second, after massaging the cleanser on my skin I use Silk’n Swirl Facial Cleansing Brush to deep clean and relax my skin. I wet the brush head and gently start on low to apply to my skin. The Silk’n swirl is typically used on the forehead, neck, cheeks, and chin.
Third I use Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask that deep cleans and visibly reduces pores. I use this mask once to twice a week. I use a warm moist towel to open my pores a bit before applying. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes and rinse well, then pat my face dry.
Last I apply Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich before bedtime and or before I put on my make-up for the day. I really like this product because it’s not greasy like some moisturizers. It goes on smooth and hydrates the skin.
To add before bedtime I also apply L’occitane Divine Eye Balm to my eyes. It’s a very light eye balm that reduces dark circles and smooths the skin. For now, that’s it for my skincare routine and I’m sure I’ll be learning and adding more products in the future. What are your recommendations? I’d love to hear:)
